Powell Hall is one of America's most acoustically renowned and visually stunning concert halls—and home to your St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. More than 50 years after its most recent upgrade, and 98 years after it was originally constructed, Powell Hall is undergoing an expansion and renovation to preserve and enhance the civic treasure for generations to come.
In March 2023, while the orchestra was on a five-city concert tour of Europe, work began on this milestone project with digging for the foundation of an all-new backstage space to support musicians and the SLSO's programming.
