Photos: SLSO Presents the Inaugural Crafted Concert

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra's 2019/2020 series marks the beginning of a new era under Music Director Stéphane Denève. But a new Music Director isn't the only new thing this season. On November 15, the SLSO presented its first-ever Crafted Concert - a casual concert experience with food, drinks, and conversation meant to draw listeners closer to the music-making process.

Powell Hall, lit up in festive blue, was packed with patrons snacking on tasty small bites from six St. Louis restaurants and sipping on beverages from six more local establishments.

As the concert began, Stéphane demonstrated portions of Brahms' Fourth Symphony with the SLSO, illuminating the genius behind one of classical music's greatest pillars.

After the hourlong concert concluded, patrons joined SLSO musicians at an after-party at the Angad Hotel.
