Photos: SLSO Quartet Performs at Washington University in St. Louis

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is no stranger to performing outside of its beautiful Powell Hall home. For many years, the SLSO has brought music to people where they are: in schools, in houses of worship, in care facilities, and in other public spaces.

On September 23, the SLSO continued this robust tradition by performing outside Umrath House on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. Violinists Angie Smart and Andrea Jarrett, violist Chris Tantillo, and cellist Elizabeth Chung delighted audiences with works by Dvořák and Florence Price. This was the SLSO's first free concert of the 2019/2020 season. On October 4, music educators will team up with the SLSO to present a free concert at Powell Hall in EXTRA CREDIT, a program that honors the impact of music educators. That program will include works by Smetana, Borodin, Ravel, and Shostakovich. Learn more about EXTRA CREDIT here.
